Celebrating our girl's birthday...

I have never met a child that likes birthdays as much as Hillary Ashton. She LOVES going to parties, loves having parties and loves just talking about parties :o) Several months ago, she made her fourth birthday party requests known. She wanted to have four birthday parties this year since she was going to be four. Sounds good to me :o) We had her first birthday party at the end of May with her friends and family at Funland. She had her second party at church last Sunday. Her third party was this past Saturday. We woke up early and went to Krispy Kreme for doughnuts. Then her Paragould family came to visit. We had lunch at Cheeburger(why isn't it called "Cheeseburger"?). While Hill and I were in the restroom, her daddy told our waiter that it was her birthday. When we got back to the table, the waiter came over, rang a loud cow bell while standing right behind her and announced to the restaurant that Hillary Ashton was celebrating her fourth birthday. This is a huge difference between me and my girl. I would have been startled and a little embarrassed that everyone in the restaurant was staring at me. I would have made a quick plan to pay my hubby back :o) On the other hand, my girl threw her hands into the air in a "v" shape, waved her hands around and smiled the biggest smile. She was so excited! To give your a visual, she kinda looked like a politician :o) The girls LOVES attention! After lunch, we came back to the house and she played with her cousins. They played doctor and marriage, her two favorite games!

Her fourth and final celebration was on Sunday, her actual birthday. We had doughnuts for breakfast again (don't worry, I didn't Pops!) and she opened her presents. We got her a few smaller things that she had been wanting, but we couldn't decide whether to get her a bike or camera for her big present. I knew she would have a definite opinion about which she wanted so Neil drew her a picture of each and she circled the one she wanted to go pick out after church. After church, we ate at Johnny Carino's. We have taken her to eat there every year for her birthday. We then we to five stores before we could find the princess bike she has been eyeing for months. When we were checking out, she was so sweet to tell sissy that she could have her red tricycle. We then headed to the park to try it out! Here are a few pictures from our day:

That Hillary Ashton...she's MY kind of girl! I've decided to adopt her philosophy...I'll begin my 44 (FORTY FOUR!!) parties tomorrow!

I'm jealous of a "Cheeburger" and may need a party in Arkansas to "discover" them!

Finally, seeing Sophie Le with that crazy donut is enough to make me want to give one to DoriGrace just so I can watch her face react to the sugar and take pictures! Thanks for sharing that!
