How can it already be another week?

It seems like this summer has FLOWN by! While I am looking forward to and counting the weeks until we see the faces of our Ethiopian babes, I wish the days, weeks and months of my precious little girls wouldn't pass so quickly. Sophie Le now 22 months...that is two months away from TWO!!! It is hard to believe that she is almost two. Don't get me wrong, the terrible two signs are all there, but goodness gracious how is it possible? Hillary Ashton is getting ready to start preschool next week. That is only one year away from real, five day a week KINDERGARTEN! It is going to be so hard to send her to school five days a week. I am not real crazy about two :o) It seems like just yesterday that we were planning Hillary Ashton's second birthday party. I know people always say that kids grow up in the blink of an eye, but it seriously takes my breath away to think about how fast the last few years has gone by.

At least there is a positive spin on the passage of time, eight weeks down. We are praying for, dreaming of and loving our Ethiopian babe(s) everyday!

There is a Gladney family in Ethiopia right now picking up their son. They have a professional photographer traveling with them and the pictures have been AMAZING. If you have an extra minute, you should check it out.

Week SEVEN!

Referrals are flowing! Last week, there were two single baby girls and a set of twin baby girls referred. There have been many Gladney families traveling to pick up their little ones and we have really enjoyed following their journey. We are really looking forward to traveling to Ethiopia!

We are so excited to be one week closer!

Adoption Update

We are now on week number SIX...whoo hoo!

number six

We are getting anxious to see our little babe(s) face!

The courts in Ehtiopia closed last Thursday for the rainy season. Our agency will continue to match families with children during the two month close, but there will be no court dates scheduled. Ironically, it has been raining everyday in Little Rock since the courts closed!.

A gift from Vietnam...

A friend of mine traveled to Vietnam last month to pick up her PRECIOUS little baby boy, Liam. While she was there, she had a stamp made for Sophie Le. She showed me pictures of the man on the street in Hanoi carving the stamps by hand. How Awesome! I cannot tell you how much I love this stamp! Thanks, Tricia!!!
