The big girls collecting seashells...

One of the girls' favorite beach activities is looking for seashells. We have a jar at home full of seashells the girls have collected over the years. Before this year, all of the seashells have been small. Not this year...the girls scored BIG time in their seashell hunt!

There were several other families searching for seashells at the same time as the girls and it was so funny to see them watching the girls find such great seashells! Sophie Le and Hillary Ashton were by far the youngest kiddos searching that morning and there was no contest...they found the biggest seashells in a very short period of time.

The girls got big "wows" and congrats from their fellow searchers. As we walked back to our room, just about all of the grownups we passed looked into the girl's bucket and their eyes got big :o) The girls couldn't have been more excited about their great finds! Two men stopped us and asked the girls if they found those shells at the beach to which they answered enthusiastically "yes!"

I think our two girls may be seashells legends around here for years to come :o)

If it wasn't so darn funny to watch people's expressions, we would have told them daddy bought the shells at Wal-Mart for $1.97 and indiscreetly hid them in the sand for the girls to find...haha!!! Shh...don't tell!

That is just too sweet. A good story to share with them when they are older.
