Day 24 - The Blind Side, 30 Day Shred & Julianne...

This afternoon, my parents came to town for a visit. We ate lunch at Larry's Pizza after church...YUMMY!!! It is a pizza and salad buffet restaurant...where they BRING you the pizza :o) Pretty awesome, huh? And a little dangerous :o) After lunch, my parents watched the kiddos while hubby and I went to our yearly movie :o)

We saw The Blind Side...

Oh my goodness. This movie is AMAZING. It really makes Luke 12:48 hit home in a big way.

"And to whomsoever much is given, of him shall much be required"

It is based on the true story of Michael Oher. He grew up in foster care (for 17 years!!). He often ran away from his foster family and lived on the streets. A wealthy family in Memphis (where he lived) decided to give him a chance, and he ran with it! He ended up graduating from Ole' Miss and now plays for the NFL! This movie really touched me and makes me want to be a better person. I hope to be as brave as the mom in this story one day...her bravery is inspiring. If you haven't seen it yet, you should! I would suggest bringing a few Kleenexes :o)

After the movie, we stopped by Target to pick up a few items including...

My hubby will kill me for saying this, but while we were looking for the Jillian video he said, "Oh, look there is a Kim Kardashian workout video." Haha! If she ever comes to town, I will have to keep my eye on him :o)

Anyways,I opted for Jillian video and I am going to give the 30 Day Shed a try :o) Everyday. I admit, I was a little intimidated when I read the cover - "Lose up to 20 pounds in 30 day." Haha! I don't want to lose that much so I bought a Recess Peanut Butter candybar too :o) I did level 1 today and it didn't seem too bad at the time, but afterwards my legs felt a bit like jello :o) I had two great work out buddies helping push me through...Hillary Ashton & Sophie Le. About halfway through, Hillary Ashton said, "Mama, I feel the burn." Haha! I love these girls!

My sweet Julianne after church today...
Julianne last June wearing the same dress...

Do you think she has changed much?

I think (hope & pray) we are past the problem we were having with Jonah :o) I have never been so happy to change a diaper at 2 a.m. in my life :o) My sweet, happy baby is BACK!!!

Oh, I want to see that movie. We never go to the theater anymore but that looks really good. Thanks for posting the trailer.

I think Julianne looks the same.

Hurray for Jonah. Hurray for you.

LOVED, LOVED, LOVED that movie. It was the first PG-13 movie I've let Walker go see. He and I went with my Dad over the Christmas holiday.

Good luck on that shred! Keep us posted!
