Day 4 - Snow Day!

Tonight is a night I would have probably skipped blogging if I hadn't challenged myself to blog everyday in 2010. After making a Wal-Mart run, all four kids got a bath, I clipped 80 nails, painted 30 toes, painted 20 fingernails and curled one head of hair. Tomorrow is my first work day back to "work" since before the holidays so I had to get everyone's clothes, underwear, socks, hair accessories, etc.. ready for the day tomorrow. Mornings are SUPER busy around our house! However, I am glad I went ahead and downloaded my pics for the day and am blogging (while watching the new Bachelor...haha) :o)

This morning, we woke up to a winter wonderland...

Haha! So judging by the above picture, you may be as surprised as I was to see that both school districts in our town cancelled school! Yipee!! I cannot even begin to tell you how excited I was to have one last day at home with all four kiddos!

The girls couldn't wait to get outside and play in the snow...all 1/4 inches (I may be stretching that estimate a bit!) :o)

The last time we got snow, Sophie Le wanted no part of it! This year, she was lovin' it.

Of course, Hillary Ashton (Miss happy about everything) was so excited about the snow!

By her excitement level, you would have thought we got a foot of snow!

Love this child!

My sweet babies are growing up!

I just love how sweet they are to each other...most of the time!

Along the lines of getting along...This afternoon, Hillary Ashton came downstairs and said, "Um, I don't think Sophie Le has read the part of the bible that says we shouldn't want what other's have." I said, "Why do you say that?" She replied, "She wasn't playing with her new baby doll so I was playing with it and now she wants it back. Do you think you should get the bible out Mama?" Haha. This kids crack me up...everyday.

Sophie Le walked around wiping snow off of every surface. She loves to clean up!

This one, not so much!

She loves making messes! She was really wanting to have a snowball fight, but Sophie Le didn't. Hillary Ashton said, "I wish daddy was here so I could through a snowball at him :o)

While we were playing outside, Julianne stayed inside and ate fruit loops :o)

She seemed happy with staying in the warm house...

The kitty cats even got into the fun...here is Meow swinging on the tire swing...I'm telling you, I don't think these cats are normal :o)

They stand like this when they hear a strange sound...the strange sound was Julianne banging her bowl on the door :o)

When we got back into the house, Daddy called to tell us that Hillary Ashton's school was actually in session! Whoops! She goes to a private school and I THOUGHT they followed the local school districts on winter weather closings. I was wrong. I guess I could have taken her late...haha!

I am soooo glad I didn't know she was suppose to go to school today because we would have missed all of this fun and I don't think she would have gotten to eat snow at school :o)

I am so lucky to spend my days with these sweeties!

Have you ever watched "Hoarders" on the A&E channel? Unbelievable. I can't help but watch it...it's on right now. So sad!

Love the photos. What a fun day - it doesn't matter how much it snowed - just that it did.

So funny that J wanted to stay inside and eat...she sounds like me!

Rhett is really hoping for a snow storm on Thursday. He's checked the weather on my phone 100 times today! :)

You are just TOO fun! Wish I could have played in the 1/4 snow with you all : )
Yes, seen that show and Intervention, well and for that matter, I Survived. I have to take it in small doses because it is just so sad and emotional, yet the shock of their life hooks you.
We all have issues to pray through- praise God for His daily help.
Have a wonderful week,
Natasha
