Day 1 - Happy New Year, Happy New Car & Happy New Challenge...

Happy 2010!!! It seems like 2009 flew by and I am sure this new year will be no different. We had a wonderful 2009 and are so thankful for the blessings we have received.

We decided to take a mini-vacay to ring in the new year. We arrived in Texas with three hours left in 2009...by 10:15, all six of us were asleep :o) So much for "ringing" in the new year! More like snoozing in the new year...haha!

But that's okay...we were up bright and early having a good breakfast to start the new year. After breakfast, we got ready and headed to the auto dealership to pick up our NEW RIDE :o) We really thought long and hard about getting a passenger van, but in the end a longer version of our current vehicle won. We just love our Yukon...actually both of our cars are Yukons and they are just so dependable...so far! We checked the mileage on our Yukon as we pulled into the dealership...159,975...wowza! Neil bought this Yukon new while we were dating in 2001. We have had that car 8 1/2 years! It has been with us as we went from two to six (in a couple different combinations!).

So here we are before...literally stuffed in the old Yukon

And here we are with our much needed extra space!!! The extra room is SO NICE!

I will now have room for the groceries...whoo hoo :o)

Sophie Le and Julianne are now back seat buddies...how sweet is this?

And now my personal challenge...I am going to attempt to post EVERYDAY in 2010. Who knows if I will make it to next week, but I am going to try :o) As Sophie Le would say, "so far, so good."

EVERYDAY??!! That's ambitious! I've got my own list of challenges in development...and at least one involves babbling again.

Happy New Year!!

Happy New Year! I love the picture of the back seat buddies holding hands!

P.S. Please let me know if you need bigger clothes sizes for your baby boy in the future--I'll go through the bin again...I just got the smallest stuff out for you first, but I'd be happy to bring more!

I love the picture of the girls holding hands. It just does something to my heart. Your family is such a blessing to me as I read about your journey in life. Congrats on the new car!
