Day 59 - Loving the Sunshine!

Second verse, same as the first! So thankful for more sunshine today!!!! We pretty much spent the entire day outside after church today.

Sophie Le planted lots of gardens today :o) Mostly "stick gardens" and "rock gardens."
We had round two against the army of leaves in our yard...the leaves won again :o) Here is Hillary Ashton giving Daddy tips on the proper way to light the fire.
She is full of good ideas!
Sisterly love...
I love watching my babies concentrate!
Hillary Ashton loves the fire, but says the smoke irritates her eyes...
My little problem solver!
Le and Daddy having a little talk...she looks so tiny!

Jerry Seinfeld's new reality show starts tonight! I am a BIG Seinfeld fan...can't wait!

Day 58 - Donuts, Sunshine & the Zoo...

We started our day at Shipley's. The girls LOVE going for donuts! Why oh why do they put eggs in donuts? I really wanted one this morning...they smell sooooo good!
Next we went to Hobby Lobby to pick up some new fabric. I am going to use it to make the girls' Easter Basket this year and maybe an outfit to match. Dorky, I know! Haha! The lady cutting fabric made me reallllly mad. If she wasn't 80 years old, I may have decked her. Just kidding...kinda. No, really I am kidding. But, next time I am in there, she better stick to cutting my fabric and keep all of her stupid comments to herself or else I may have to get Sophie Le and Julianne to give her the evil eye! They are really good at that! Haha!

When we got home, the weather was B.E.A.U.T.I.F.U.L!!! The girls and I played outside until lunch time...I LOVED it! I spent about an hour like this...
Hillary Ashton found these Barbie skates in the garage and had a blast "skating" up and down the driveway...holding on to mama's hand. She kept saying, "Skating is so awesome!" Haha!

Sophie Le rode on the Diego car. She LOVES that thing...always has and probably always will. My baby finds something she likes and sticks with it. On the other hand, if she ever decides she doesn't like something, it is almost impossible to get her to change her opinion.
Luckily, she likes Meow :o) These kittens are sooo good with the girls!

Julianne likes to try out all of the riding toys :o)
Hillary Ashton giving Ju Ju some pointers :o)
I can't tell you how proud I am of how far Julianne has come this week in her speech and sign language! Here she is signing "help." She wanted to ride the tricycle :o)
Look at her two front teeth!!! So cute!
Sophie Le got this Barbie 4-wheeler for her birthday, but has NO interest in riding it. But Julianne LOVES it. She touches it almost everytime we walk through the garage...haha! She was so excited to get to ride it today!
Big sister was happy to let her borrow it :o)

During naptime, Daddy called from work and asked if we wanted to meet him at the zoo :o) Of course, we did!
I probably have 50 pictures of Hillary Ashton on this gorilla statue taken throughout her life. It is always the first thing she wants to do at the zoo!
Sophie Le has no interest in getting on top of the statue, but she likes to pretend she is a baby gorilla and sit under it :o)
Le wasn't very happy that Daddy decided to hold a snake while holding her too :o)
I have this SAME picture of Hillary Ashton and Daddy taken when she was around Julianne's age....I have got to find it!
Groups shot are never easy with three little girls :o)
I learned a long time ago, if you don't get the shot you want in the first few should just give up because the chances of it getting any better are slim :o)
I took a few too many today...haha!

I think it is so funny how Sophie Le always poses for pictures :o) My little model...haha!
Of all of the fun things at the zoo, Sophie Le thought there was no better find than this pinecone! It HAD to come home with us :o)
Can you believe how close they are in size? They are 21 months apart! I am afraid Julianne is going to pass Sophie Le in height this year. I don't think Miss Le will be very happy about that.
One of my favorite pictures of Julianne! I am LOVING her hair!!!
Hillary Ashton has been wanting to smash a penny FOREVER. I NEVER have change, but today I remembered to grab some :o) Yea!
It was all she hoped it would be :o)
To tell you the really was pretty cool :o)

Day 57 - My little scientists & Birth Family Search...

Today the girls decided they wanted to "conduct an experiment." Hummm. Not sure where that came from, but if my little scientists need to experiment...who am I to stand in their way? :o)

First they thought about exactly what they wanted to accomplish...
All they really knew is that they wanted to use the food coloring :o) Haha!
Finally...a plan was hatched :o)
They got the cupcake pan, filled it with water and proceeded to mix colors together...
They thought it would be a good idea to stir the colored water with toothpicks :o)
They had a ball watching the water turn different colors.
Somehow little squezzers got involved.
That's when the experiment took a serious turn :o) Haha!
Next, rocks and a salad tongs. How long do I stand by quietly and watch? I can admit I was getting a little nervous :o)
Honestly, I was never into science so what do I know? They may be on the cusp of discovering something great here :o)
Whatever they are working on takes a lot of team work...
And concentration...
After several hours and lots of discussion, here you go...the next great discovery :o)
On a positive note, we are so ready to dye Easter eggs!

While the girls were hard at work, I played with this little bundle of joy. His giggling is going to be the end of me :o)
And finally this little rascal got up from her nap...
Something clicked with my baby today and she decided to start repeating words...lots of them!!!!!!!!!!! Whoo hoo!!!!!!!!!!

GUESS WHAT? Our investigator in Vietnam contacted us and set a date to travel to Ninh Thuan (the province Sophie Le was born)!! I am so excited. Thank you so much to those of you that commented and emailed me questions to ask her birthmother. I really hope we get answers to most or all of our questions!!! Of course, I will keep you updated :o)

Day 56 - Haiti...

I was checking a few of my favorite blogs tonight and saw this AWESOME video on the Perryman's blog...

Adam just got back from Haiti last week. It is amazing to see God's people serving the world! That's why we are here!

You can read more about his trip and see more pictures on their blog...CLICK HERE to go their now :o)

Really anything I could post about our 56th day of the year seems pretty insignificant after watching the video so I will just leave it at that :o)

Day 55 - Gymnastics...

I am about 95% today :o) Yipee! I am PRAYING and HOPING none of the kiddos get sick. Having sick kids is the WORST! Jonah didn't sleep through the night last night and was pretty fussy today so right now he is the one I am most worried about.

Sophie Le had gymnastics again today. Her natural abilities are amazing! Everything they attempt in class seems to come so easily for Sophie Le. Where does that come from? Will we ever know? I am hoping our birth family search will provide some insight into these types of things. Maybe her birth mom is athletic too? Maybe she likes to do flips and has excellent balance. I can't wait to find out!
The pointing thing is really starting to intrigue me. Where did it come from and why do all of my kids do it? Any ideas?

Eight months ago, we met this little girl for the first time...
She was super sweet and very quite...
Now eight months later, she is a super loud, super busy, super opinionated, super toddler.
There are days when I think she is about to drive me crazy! Today might have been one of those days :o) Everyday, she is the most affectionate and loving child in our family. Everyday, I thank God for letting me be her mom. She may be a little rascal, but she is my rascal :o)
