Day 39...My cup runneth over...

This morning we woke up to a big surprise...SNOW! I was downstairs making breakfast when I saw lots of WHITE out of the corner of my eye...

I thought I was dreaming...haha! A few minutes later, sweet hubby came down the stairs dressed for work. I asked him if he had looked out the window :o) Haha!

It is a good thing, school was cancelled and daddy stayed home from work today because we had waaaaay to many chores to do around the house :o)

We started the day with a classical piano concert :o) I think we may need a longer bench...haha!

After "piano lessons," Hillary Ashton decided daddy needed a new pillow...

I am sure he will love the fabric choice :o) Blue flower fabric is about a boyish as we get around this house :o)

She learned to thread the sewing machine...
DSC04699
She did such a GREAT job sewing the pillow!
DSC04705
She LOVED stuffing the pillow!

She was so proud of the finished product...so was mommy :o)

Daddy was busy working and had no idea what was coming!

Sweet memories!

We'll see who ends up going to bed with the new pillow :o)

I finally finished this shirt & skirt for Hillary Ashton today...

Have you seen those cute knot, apron dresses online? I think they are soooo cute. I decided to try and make one for Sophie Le today. I want to pick up another coordinating fabric for the bottom, but I like the way it is turning out so far...

We also made cupcakes!

This girl LOVES baking...
DSC04742
Hillary Ashton was serious about following the recipe...
DSC04755
This cupcakes are FANCY...we had to make cupcake mix, filling mix AND frosting...Whew!
DSC04757
The new cupcake set is soooo cool!

All DONE :o)

I don't eat cupcakes, but the girls (and daddy)said they were yummy!

So sweet!

Julianne thinks her sisters are good bakers...

The "games" our girls play are probably similar to games other kiddos their age play...with a little twist...
DSC04796
In this scenario, Sophie Le was Julianne's mommy and she was going "out of the state" to Africa and asked Hillary Ashton to keep Julianne for her :o) Haha! Their conversations crack me up!

The girls also had a blast drawing on the windows after supper tonight...

Unfortunately after our busy day, the house is a mess and the laundry pile is high, BUT the kiddos are happy, their tummies are full and their hearts are full :o)

I guess I like snow days after all :o)

The truth is, I can't wait for spring. But, days like today are awesome b/c there really isn't anything to do except play with your kids. That's the best day.

Oh My Goodness...you are one crafty family!!! Fun! Love the little knot dress; I never did learn how to use a sewing machine. Good for HA for learning so young!
