Day 50 - Sunshine & Balloons...

I am feeling a bit under the weather today so this will be short and sweet (maybe not so sweet, haha!).

The girls were so excited about the warm weather today. They played outside pretty much the entire afternoon. Unfortunately, I didn't feel up to being out with them. However, since it was warmer today I got to use one of my FAVORITE rooms of the house. This one room was one of the things that sold us on this house.

This particular room also dictated where we set up the rainbow play set :o)

It was awesome to be able to relax with little Jonah on the sofa while being able to keep an eye on the girls outside :o)

Hillary Ashton with Princess Lola (you can't even tell there is a screen between us!)
I just adore how the girls climb up to the fort and talk and talk and talk...
Almost makes me want to get one of those eavesdropping ear pieces :o) Haha! Have you seen that infomercial? I can't believe they actually are trying to sell people on eavesdropping on their neighbors!!!

We had our second visit with Jonah's caseworker today. Last month she was 1 1/2 hours EARLY...yes, you heard me...EARLY! Today, she was one hour and 20 minutes LATE. I guess if you want to look at the bright side of things and average the two visits, she was only 10 minutes early between the two visits. I really can't complain too much...she did actually show up for both visits which sadly isn't always a guarantee.

While the sw was here, I heard the girls yelling outside. It took me a few minutes to figure out that they were yelling to a kid (or kids) that live in the house behind us. It is actually kinda funny because we didn't even know there was a house behind us until this fall when the leaves started falling off the trees :o) We bought the house in the summer. So back to the story...Hillary Ashton was yelling things like, "Are you a boy or a girl,?" "How old are you,?" "Do you like to play?" It was seriously cracking me up!

By the time late afternoon rolled around, I had to leave it up to the girls to come up with their own entertainment :o) They did a pretty good job...balloons! They had a ball!

I also want to give a huge shout out to my friend Heather! They are starting their foster care training this weekend! I am soooooooooooooooooo excited for this precious family! I know there has been a lot of prayer involved in their decision and I am just tickled this is the outcome! I am praying this weekend is the first step to a lifetime of wonderful memories.

I guess this post was particularly short or sweet :o) Haha!

(Erin (of Jason and Erin), will you please send me your email address?)

Oh, Amy. I promise I did not send the mean-old sickness to you. I hope it doesn't last and I really hope the kids don't get it. Get better quick.

Boo for germs! Hope you are feeling better soon! LOVE your porch area. I can see out into most of the back are from our living room...but not off to one side where our play area is, just the tramp & fort. Balloons look like lots of fun! I'll have to put that one in my rainy day bag as well! You are full of fun ideas! I would have sent mine to my room with a good movie! :)
