Day 128 - Happy Mother's Day...

I hope everyone had a great Mother's Day! I can't believe how lucky I am to have three special little girls that call me Mama and one sweet little boy that melts my heart...everyday. I was rewarded with sweet cards, drawings and lots of hugs and kisses today and I LOVED it all. However, in the midst of all things wonderful about Mother's Day, I can't help but think about the three woman that gave birth to Julianne, Sophie Le and Jonah. I don't know why I am the one that has been blessed to watch these precious children grow up and to cuddle with them everyday and to kiss their boo boos, but I am thankful for the opportunity.

Here is the amazing little girl that made me a mommy :o) She makes life so sweet!
In honor of Sophie Le's birth mother. I am so thankful for the decisions you made during a very difficult time. We are so blessed to have this little girl in our life. Sophie Le is a dream come true.
We met Sophie Le on Mother's Day, 2007! What a special day that was!!!
In memory of Julianne's birth mother, Buse. I wish I could have met you. I don't know a lot about you, but I know that you are remembered by those who knew you as a noble person that always helped the less fortunate people in your village. What a wonderful legacy. I am thankful for the child you gave birth to. I am thankful for the sweet spirit and spunk that I am confident she got from you. I pray that you are walking on streets of gold and worshipping our Savior at this very moment. You are missed.

This afternoon, we went for a hike on the Ouachita Trail. The trail is 223 miles long and begins in southeastern Oklahoma and ends at Pinnacle Mountain in Central Arkansas. A portion of the trail leads right through our neighborhood...literally a couple blocks (country blocks...haha) from our house. Pretty cool! The girls really enjoyed hiking, throwing rocks in the Maumelle Lake and mostly eating lots and lots (and lots) of honeysuckle :o)

Happy Mother's Day to Ganny and Mimi!

Happy Mother's Day, Amy, to one of the most wonderful mothers I know! I love your tribute to the girls' birth mothers.

The trail looks like a lot of fun--what a great way to spend the afternoon!

Happy Mother's Day. I don't think your girls can get any cuter. I wanted you to know that I just received the book Meant To Be. I enjoyed your entry. I thought a lot about you this month as we embarked upon foster parenting. My hat is off to you. It's not easy, but it's so rewarding.
