Wow, wow, wow! It has been three years since we officially adopted Miss Sophie Le! What a wonderful three years it has been! I remember May 15, 2007 like it was yesterday. We had just met Thiet two days before (on Mother's Day) and she was NOT as thrilled to meet us as we were to meet her :o) Luckily the next day we visited her at the orphanage was much better! She even let Daddy feed her a bottle and then she fell asleep in his arms...that moment sealed the deal for Daddy. Sophie Le has had Daddy wrapped (tightly) around her finger ever since! We are so lucky to have this little cookie in our family :o)

Here is our Family Day recap from 2009. And 2008. And 2007...our very first Forever Family Day with Sophie Le :o)

My girl has been sooooooooooo excited about this year's Family Day (and so have we)! She really gets it and loves to talk about us coming to pick her up from the baby house. She thinks it is so funny to tell mommy and daddy about how she cried and cried and cried when we first met...haha!

We try to make our Forever Family days special not only for the child that entered our family on that day, but everyone in the family. After all, it is a day to celebrate our whole family joining together.

We started the day with a yummy breakfast...chocolate chip, Mickey Mouse pancakes, strawberries and eggs...
The girls chose Playtime Pizza for lunch...
Feel free to be Julianne's bow to big...hahahahahaha!
Hillary Ashton LOVES (no seriously...LOVES) this game...the alien stomp...
She also likes the baby rides :o) Haha!
After a little coaxing (and a promise from Daddy to hold on to her), Sophie Le decided to ride the merry-go-round too...
This was probably Julianne's favorite thing...
A little air hockey...
Jonah wasn't as impressed with Playtime Pizza as the girls were :o) I am sure that will change in a year or two :o)
Me & my girl waiting in line for the bumper cars...
Watch girl likes to bump!
As we were leaving, we decided to play one more game...
Wowza...we won 80 tickets on the first pull and 250 on the second pull!!!
The girls were in ticket heaven :o)
That's a lot of tickets!
Daddy and his girls...
We then headed over to a local playground...
The little girls & Jonah slept in the car with Daddy while me and my big girl checked out the cool clubhouse :o)

Of course, we HAD to take a few pictures of Le in her USA overalls (this is the outfit she wore home from the orphanage!). I am so excited that I could still squeeze her into the outfit! Haha!
This may be the last year I am able to take her picture in the overalls...but I am NOT making any promises!
I could not get Meow to get out of the shot! Haha! He is a camera hog!

The girls then changed into their beautiful Ao dais that we bought while we were in Ho Chi Minh City...
Hillary Ashton kept asking if she looked more Vietnamese with her glasses on or off...with a flower in her hair or without...she really wanted to look as Vietnamese as possible for dinner tonight...haha!
Sweet girls!
The pink Ao Dai that Sophie Le is wearing is the one Hillary Ashton wore while we were in Vietnam. Oh my goodness, look at my little baby!
My little Ethiopian in her Asian outfit :o)
And just because it is one of my all time favorite pictures of Sophie Le, here she is wearing the same outfit...
She was almost 11 months old in that pic :o)

Sophie Le's choice for dinner...Fried surprise there :o)
When we were in Vietnam, we bought several little gifts to give her on Family Days. This year's gift was a little purse...
Both girls insisted on using chopsticks :o)
My baby girl shocked us by successfully using chopsticks while we were in Vietnam in 2007...
We called her "Chopsticks" for months after that :o)

We finished off the day with cupcakes...complete with singing and candles at the request of the girls...we are getting dangerously close to infringing on birthday traditions here :o)

We LOVE you Sophie Le!!! We cannot imagine our family without you! We are thankful for this good and perfect gift from above (James 1:17).

A baby girl's bow can N.E.V.E.R be TOO big! (Period, the end!)

Cracks me up that you still force that baby into the outfit. Can't wait to see her "in them" at 10! LOL!

Happy Family Day!!

Happy Forever Family Day, Sophie Le and family!

And about the bow, Julianne has more than enough personality to wear a bow that size!

Happy Family Day!!! Great pictures. Noah was also VERY excited about his family day celebration this year. He loves talking about mommy and daddy coming to Vietnam, the baby house and the nannies giving him to mommy. Oh and I LOVE the overall pictures. :)
