How can it be possible that six years have passed since Happy Hillary Ashton entered this world? It literally seems like yesterday, we were holding that precious, tiny, sweet little baby wondering to ourselves, "What in the world are we suppose to do with a baby?" Haha! Hillary Ashton has been a delight to us every single day of her life. She has always had an incredible sense of humor and the sweetest spirit. She is also a little firecracker and I LOVE that :o)

On Tuesdays, Hillary Ashton "helps" me in my MDO class. Her "help" consists of playing with her friend EM all day...haha! This morning as I was packing lunches for MDO, Hillary Ashton said, "I cannot believe I have to work on my birthday." Hahahaha! Cracked me up...seriously. I can so imagine that coming out of her mouth in about twenty years. She didn't know that I had someone filling in for me today so we could spend the morning together...just the two of us :o) As we were dropping off the little kids, I asked her if she would like to stay at work (hahaha!) or go do something fun. She was SO excited :o) I just LOVE surprising my baby girl!

She was thrilled when we got to the car and she realized that I had packed our swim bag :o)
We had SO MUCH fun at the local water park. Since we didn't have the little kids with us, we were able to ride the bigger slides. Neither one of us have a strong desire to ride those rides again anytime soon :o) I have a nice sized bruise on my bottom and she got flipped one too many times. I would have ridden the slides as many times as the birthday girl wanted, but I pretty happy when she said, "Maybe we can ride the big slides again when I turn seven." Haha! We decided to spend the rest of the morning floating in the lazy river and riding waves in the wave pool :o)

For her birthday lunch, she chose Larry's...yummy! I couldn't believe how much my princess ate! She had four and a half pieces of cheese pizza, one and half pieces of chocolate chip pizza, one cinnamon stick, a bowl of croutons, a package of crackers and a Dr. Pepper!!!! Goodness gracious! Who knew that a six year old could eat so much more than a five year old :o) Luckily for me, no one blogging is about how much I ate...haha!

When we got home, all of the girls were so excited to get mail (thanks Ganny and Papa Texarkana). Really, there are not many things in this world my girls like better than getting mail.

Sophie Le will carry around this mail for days :o)

Julianne listening to me read her mail to sweet!
Sometimes it just takes my breath away looking at Julianne. She is so beautiful. I would LOVE to know what her mother looked like.
I think we are months away from losing her sweet 'fro :o( Her hair is growing so fast. The longer it gets, the harder it is to poof it out into a 'fro. Although, I am sure it will look cute laying down too...I am just afraid it will make her look older. I am not ready for my baby to grow up!

Another thing I LOVE about Julianne is that she is such a girly girl :o) I have always wanted a girly girl :o) Haha! She LOVES all things pretty and sparkly...bows, shoes, dolls, jewelry, etc. All of the girls like to play with Barbie dolls, but Julianne LOVES, LOVES, LOVES to play with Barbies :o) She loves to do their hair and picking out bows for their hair.

We had a nice cool down in the temp today. I think it was around 90 this afternoon and Sophie Le said, "Mama, I have to go get some blankets because it is so cold outside." Haha!

Since Hillary Ashton loves to draw and color so much, we decided to get her a nice table and chairs for her room (it is actually a dining room table from Target). She did projects ALL afternoon today! I hope she never loses her passion for art!
For one of her pictures, she was drawing a family portrait. She had her little sisters pose for the drawing...
Haha! They did pretty good standing still for a few minutes...until they got bored...

Day 177 - Kittens, Touvit Forte, Twinkle Toes and Friends of Fanose

The girls are in LOVE with the new kittens. We let them hold the kittens today for the first time and they were in heaven. So sweet.

I have to admit, they are pretty cute...

Don't you think they're cute? Just say the word and they will be ready to come cuddle with you in about a month :o)

This afternoon, I walked into the living room and Hillary Ashton and Sophie Le were watching HSN...Home Shopping Network. I NEVER, EVER, EVER watch that channel. I have no idea how they even ended up on that channel. However, they were engrossed. Hillary Ashton called me over to watch, however she did not take her eyes off of the television. The girls watched the program for a good 15 minutes. The only words they muttered were, "Wow," "Oh my goodness," So cool." As soon as the segment went off, Hillary Ashton ran out of the room and returned with the telephone. She said, "Mom, you have to order some Touvit Forte." Yes, she actually used said those words, "Touvit Forte." And when she wanted me to order some, she was serious. I told her that we would ask daddy when he got home, but she said, "They might sell out. I've got to call him now!" Haha! And you know what? She did. She told him all about the "Touvit Forte from Germany." Haha! After she told her Daddy all about the "awesome tube of Touvit Forte," she called and told her Ganny. Haha! When Daddy got home she asked him to look it up on the computer and they did :o) She sit there amazed as they watched the same video segment we watched earlier on the television.

Her birthday is tomorrow and as she was going to bed she said, "I really hope I get some Touvit Forte for my birthday tomorrow."

That is weird.

Touvit Forte is a tube of cleaner. It gets rid of stubborn stains.

I will admit, it looks pretty cool to me. However, I am not sure why my five year old is so obsessed with it. I guess I need to get HSN blocked...haha! She is quite impressionable!

I sure wish I would have known a week ago that I could have made her birthday wish come true with a $20 tube of cleaner!!

The girls got new Twinkle Toes...
They have only had them a few days and I wouldn't be surprised if the lights are about to wear out...haha! Several times today, I found them in the pantry with the light off giggling and stomping around. So sweet!

Don't forget about Friends of Fanose!!! We were doing soooo good, but we have been setting steady at $1020 for a week. WE NEED YOUR HELP to build a well in Africa! So far we have raised enough to provide 51 people with CLEAN, FRESH drinking water and that is AMAZING, but we hope to raise enough to provide an entire village with water! WE CAN DO THIS!!! Continue to spread the word!

Day 176 - Close to You...

Why do birds suddenly appear
Every time you are near?
Just like me, they long to be
Close to you.

Why do stars fall down from the sky
Every time you walk by?
Just like me, they long to be
Close to you.

On the day that you were born
The angels got together
And decided to create a dream come true
So they sprinkled moon dust in your hair of gold
And starlight in your eyes of blue.

That is why all the girls in town
Follow you all around.
Just like me, they long to be
Close to you.

The angels got together
And decided to create a dream come true
So they sprinkled moon dust in your hair of gold
And starlight in your eyes of blue.

Day 175 - SWEET Candy Party & KITTENS!!!

Today we had a celebration for Julianne's 2nd birthday and Hillary Ashton 6th birthday. The inspiration for today's party was the girls...the theme? SWEETs :o)

I just LOVE how the decorations turned out (AND they were SUPER easy). Here are a few of the lollipops...

Each lollipop is made with two paper plates, two sheets of tissue paper, ribbon, a dowel and cellophane wrap. I spray painted the dowels silver, then hot glued two paper plates (facing one another) together (with the dowel placed in the middle), then wrapped the plates in tissue paper & cellophane and finished them off with coordinating ribbon. Cute, easy & cheap(CEC)...perfect :o)

I also did several pieces of candy...some were hung from the ceiling and the rest were just sitting around.

These are super CEC :o) Wrap colorful paper lanterns in cellophane and tie the ends in coordinating ribbon.

While I was finishing up the decorations this morning, Hillary Ashton and her sleepover friends were busy, busy bees :o)

They played several rounds of hopscotch...
Played with 3D sidewalk caulk...
Went for a few rides around the yard...

After playtime, Daddy took the girls to Shipley's (in their PJs) for donuts. When they got home, I ran to check the clock to see how much time until the was only 8:00 a.m.!!!! According to AC, they were up at the crack of dawn this morning...haha!

Does the fabric on the table look familiar? Haha! The fabric will be an apron dress for Sophie Le soon :o)

Birthday girls...ready to party!

Ready to party...yes. Ready to pose for a couple pics...not really...haha!
Luckily, after a few tickles she was ready to go...
She kinda liked the big lollipops...
I am sure you can guess where this is going...
Hahahahaha! Man, I love that sweet girl!

Unfortunately, the big lollipops didn't taste as good as she hoped so we headed inside and she set her sights on the SWEETS table...she has a major sweet tooth just like her mama :o)

One thing she is not fond of is how mama keeps putting food with fire attached in front of her.
Once she blows out the candles, she is much happier with the situation :o)

This child has WAY too many candles on her cupcake this year!

Sophie Le is so excited that her birthday is next...
She has done sooooo good with BOTH of her sister's having birthdays this month. I know it has too be hard for a three year old to understand.

Cousin Ashley...
Cousin Ally Grace...

Presents! Julianne started opening presents with ONE bow in her hair...
She got a bow to match each new outfit she opened and she was insistent that each bow be placed in her hair immediately...haha! That's my girl!
There are times when we wonder if she is on track with her language development and then there are days like today when she surprises us with her language development :o) She opened a pair of shoes and shouted, "Twinkle Toes!" Plain as day! I cannot believe she even knew what the shoes are called! I know Hillary Ashton has a pair, but the pair Julianne got today don't even look like Hillary Ashton's :o) Haha!

Hillary Ashton was soooooooooo excited to get an American Girl doll that looks just like her...glasses and all :o) She named her Hillary Ashton, Jr...haha!
They have been inseparateable is hard to tell them apart now that they are dressing alike :o)

Sophie Le got to open a couple presents too...
More Twinkle Toes!

Pretty good shot of a few of the cousins together...
we missed getting sweet Ashley and Matt :o(

No party is complete without Silly Sting!
A lot of parents don't like "Cheese" faces...I am not one of those parents :o)
Sweet cousins...they are two months apart in age...

Daddy and his boy...I wonder if we will have the honor of celebrating his first birthday with him in a few months?

The trampoline continues to be a big hit...
Julianne pouting because Mama wouldn't let her jump on the trampoline with the big kids...
Don't worry...she got her turn :o)

Happy Birthday Julianne and Hillary Ashton!!! We are so blessed to have such sweet little girls in our family!

Okay. Big news! Remember on Day 160 when I posted that Princess Lola had kittens? It has been over two weeks since the day she gave birth and we haven't been able to find the kittens anywhere. We have searched and searched and searched. We just figured Princess Lola was too young to have healthy kittens and they must have passed away. However I am happy to report the kittens are alive and healthy!!! I went to meet Daddy and the girls in the garage this morning as they were getting back from breakfast and we heard a very faint "meow." We stated looking around and found this sweet thing...
and his three friends...

Sweetness! If anyone is looking for a kitten, PLEASE let me know! The kittens will be ready for their new home in about a month. The Mom (Princess Lola) and the Dad (Meow) are incredible cats. They are affectionate, playful and GREAT with the girls. They live outside and are very easy to care for. Here are a few pictures of them when we first got them (in November 2009)...
Come on, you know you want one :o)
Look how happy your kids will be...haha!
Free to a good home...
I am really not a cat person, but these cats are pretty cool :o)

There are four kittens. Three grey and black like Princess Lola and one solid black like Meow.
