Day 182 - Forth of July Treats...

We have had a fun filled day of cleaning out cabinets, closets, the floors, Cowgirl's fish tank and burning twigs & brush. What a way to spend the holiday weekend...haha! I would much rather spend the holiday weekend at the lake, but we are pretty sure we are listing our house in the next week or two...eek! Since we have been married, we have sold two of our homes. Once with no kids and two dogs and once with two kids...but never with FOUR kids! I am not sure how I will be able to keep the house "show ready" with these four little disasters running around :o) Wish me luck!

Since we didn't do many fun things today (although burning fires and playing with "treasures" I found in the kitchen cabinets did seem to happily entertain the girls today!), I have some fun 4th of July things planned for the girls tomorrow.

We are planning to put our embarrassingly large quantity of coffee filter to good use by making these festive 4th of July firecrackers...

I got the idea for the firecracker filters here.

Also these cool stars...

Here is the how-to for the stars.

I also think the girls will enjoy making this yummy treat...

I got the recipe from one of my fave blogs, here it is.

I have no intentions of making this, but it's too cool not to share :o)

17 and Baking made the cake...well, she is actually 18 now :o) I know the girls would love it, but we will just have to save that one for next year :o)

We are also planning to head downtown for the fireworks...one of my very FAVORITE things to do!!! Hope everyone is enjoying their holiday weekend!!

Happy Birthday to Lisa :o)
