Day 217 - Jonah, Sophie Le & Language Development...

Jonah is staying with some friends while we go on vacation. We dropped him off several hours ago and I already miss that little boy sooooooooooo much. I have no idea what I will do if he ever leaves our home to go to live with his family. Let's hope that never happens :o)

After we dropped Jonah off, we went to Five Guys for dinner. While we were waiting on our food, I got the girls some peanuts to snack on. I looked over and Sophie Le was eating a peanut...SHELL and ALL! I could not stop laughing. Not necessarily laughing because she didn't know to shell the peanut first, but because she was HAPPILY eating the shell! Haha! I am telling you...that child is so funny! Funny...and sweet! This afternoon, I was packing the girls' bags and Sophie Le said, "Mama, are you happy today?" I said, "Yes." And she said, "Oh good. Mama, that makes my heart so happy to hear that." Sweet thing!

I have been on a bit of a video kick lately. I found this video of Sophie Le yesterday. I made it when Sophie Le was 26 months old. She is reciting the books of the new testament. 26 months old...that is Julianne's age right now!!!!

This video obviously brings up a question in my mind...was Sophie Le really, really advanced or is Julianne a bit delayed? I know all kids are different...especially when they come from such different backgrounds. I really feel like Julianne is doing fine, but I don't want to be in denial. Thoughts?

REALLY REALLY advanced. That's my 2 cents. Sweet Sophie Le has got some amazing skills.
