Day 253 - So after all this, she died...

"While my baby was growing, she developed severe diarrhea. We took the baby to the hospital, but nothing helped. So after all this...she died."
~African mom

So sad. Yet, not uncommon.

In fact, every single day, 4500 children (in OUR world) die because of water related illness. I think that is unacceptable. I KNOW that can be changed. I WANT to change that.

What if you had no other choice but to serve your child, your grandchild, your kid dirty water? Dirty, muddy water that could cause them to develop an illness that could ultimately take their life.

How would that make you feel? It would make me feel...

I have good news though! There IS hope for these families. YOU are their hope. You. You can help save the lives of a whole village of children, moms, dads, husbands, wives, grandmas, grandpas, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews.

Do you have an extra 3 minutes and 29 seconds? If so, watch this video. It is the story of the African mom I quoted above. Open your heart and listen. Listen to her story. It is the story of millions of moms in our world. Don't just listen with your ears, listen with your heart. Put yourself in her shoes.

We want to build a well in Africa to help moms like help save the lives of babies. I LOVE babies. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE babies. I LOVE American babies, I LOVE Asian babies, I LOVE African babies. I don't think any baby should have to drink dirty water. I think every single baby in this world should have access to clean, healthy water.

So far, Friends of Fanose has raised $4300. We need to raise another $700 to build a well in Africa. EVERY single dollar matters. EVERY single dollar will be used to dig a well. EVERY single dollar will be used to save lives. Can you think of a better way to spend your money?

$25 provides one person clean water...$50 provides two people clean water. $25 could have saved that woman's baby. $25.

Her baby died. Her baby died because she developed diarrhea. Her baby got diarrhea because she drank germ infested water. Not fair. Not fair at all!

Let's change the world! As an added bonus, if we raise another $700 I might quit blogging about clean water every day :o) Haha!

Friends of Fanose :o)
