Day 254 - Junie B. Jones & Watermelon...

Friends of Fanose. Friends of Fanose. Friends of Fanose.

After MDO today, we stopped by the library to check out a few Junie B. Jones books. Someone recommended them to me a few weeks ago for Hillary Ashton. The series is about a little girl who is quite opinionated and seems to always be getting in trouble. Junie B. Jones is in kindergarten in the first 17 books and then she graduates and enters first grade in the latter books of the series. So far, Hillary Ashton (and Sophie Le) love the books! I read the girls a few chapters this afternoon and also right before bed. Each time I closed the book, Hillary Ashton would say "Just one more chapter, Mama. I reallllllly want to see what happens next." Haha! I hope they always have a love for books!

Mondays and Tuesdays are very busy days for us and today was no exception. In addition, hubby had to leave for work at 6:00 a.m. this morning so things got started pretty early around our house :o) I guess my early morning and day with a room full of two year olds at MDO caught up with me because as we walked back to the car after checking out our books, this is what I saw...

That would be the back door open. Wide open. Luckily no one seemed to notice or more likely didn't want to bother looking under all of the toys and backpacks for any treasures :o) I was so relieved that my purse, cell phone and camera were still there!

I definitely made sure I shut ALL of the doors at our next stop. For some reason, I don't think we would have been quite as lucky at Wal-Mart :o)

When we got home, we picked our first watermelon!!!!! It was small, but SUPER yummy and juicy! I am so excited that we have two more to enjoy this week!!!

I have had several people ask about Jonah. It is VERY likely that he will be leaving our home during September or early October. We are sad. No one wants him to leave. We are blessed to have had him for the last 10 months. VERY blessed. We have watched him learn to sit up, crawl, grow two teeth, pull up and wave :o) We got to enjoy his first smile, his first laughs, his first fives and lots of sweet kisses. Please keep our precious, sweet little baby in your prayers.
