Day 354 - BUSY Day & Update on Jonah...

We were super busy today. The girls (and Jonah) and I had so many AWESOME Christmas presents to play with, we didn't even have time to get ready today :o)

We started with Hillary Ashton's new Crayola color twister...

Then we made bracelets, rings and necklaces with Sophie Le's new bead set. I think we have some future jewelry designers. Next, we played with Jonah's new Mr. Potato head. Next came Barbies :o)

We took a short break for lunch and then it was back to business.

We spent the afternoon playing with two different Glow Explosion sets, dressing up the American Girl dolls in their new clothes, having a concert with their sing-along dolls (those things are sooooo cute!) and making balloon animals.

While the little girls (and Jonah) took a nap, Hillary Ashton started a new project on her sewing machine. She is making a "lesson for the blog." Haha! I will share it once she finishes :o)
She is a natural...she even threaded the machine all by herself!

One of Hillary Ashton's friends called and asked her to spend the night. I couldn't get her out of her pajamas all day, but it was a different story when it was time to go to her friend's house...haha!

I told her that I sure was going to miss her tonight, especially since she was in Paragould Sunday and Monday night. I said, "I am going to need you to stay home tomorrow night, okay?" She said, "Of course I will stay home tomorrow night...unless someone else calls and invites me to sleepover." She is grounded when she gets home!

She and her doll were not twinkies (gasp!) when I took the picture above so she HAD to change her for the sleepover before she left...and wanted me to take another picture :o)

Btw, the bad news in Jonah's case this week had nothing to do with him leaving our home anytime soon. It just put off the possibility of permanency...again. He has been in foster care for over a year at this point and I think that is more than enough.

I haven't done a Jonah update in awhile. He is still a very happy, laid back, easy baby. He is eating "normal food" and drinking whole milk now. We made the switch about three weeks ago and he didn't skip a beat. I have a goal is getting him up to the 8% by his next doctor's visit. Judging by the way he has been eating the last three weeks, I think we are well on our way. His third tooth just started poking through over the weekend and he is saying "hi, bye, mama, dada, daddy, dashton, le le, yea, huh uh, uh oh and onah." He is sooo funny when we go to the store, he says, "hi" to almost every person we pass. It almost always gets a laugh from the other person. He also likes to greet you with one hand straight in the air as he says, "hi." It is so cute. He isn't walking yet, but he is close. He loves giving kisses and loves to pat your back :o) He also likes to cuddle. Several weeks ago, he started throwing little fits. I don't know if it is him or that we have had several kids before him, but his fits crack me up. I try my hardest not to laugh because I know it isn't very nice to laugh at someone that is upset, but I just find it so funny when he whines, pouts his lips, slaps his hands on the ground, lays his head down and then looks to make sure we are watching :o) It is really quite the show...haha! He has really gotten into playing with toys lately and loves to push things around. He LOVES when Sophie Le plays the "roar game" with him. She will go to the other side of the room and roar at him as she walks or crawls toward him. He just laughs and laughs and laughs.

He is such a pleasure. We are so blessed to have him in our home!
