Back into the Swing of Things...

As of today, all Christmas decorations are put away...whew! Once Christmas is over, I can hardly stand the sight of Christmas decorations. How weird is that? One day they are wonderful, the next they represent work to be done...haha! I thought I had it all done last Tuesday, but as I drove up to the house today I saw our Christmas wreath on the front door :o) That bad boy is now in the attic and we are looking forward to decorating for Valentine's Day...might as well, Wal-Mart was stocked with Valentine's candy the day after Christmas :o) I can hardly wait to get my hands on a few Recee's Peanut butter hearts. YUMMY! Man, those things are SO good. I think I better finish off the Christmas pretzel M&Ms I got 1/2 off at Target first. Two bags down, one to go. You know, they have 30% less fat than regular M&Ms :o)

The girls gave a really good case for keeping up one strand of lights up in their room and I have to say, they are good debaters :o) The lights will stay!

Btw, notice the cute, miniature Vietnamese cone hat Sophie Le put on her piggy bank...haha! You can take the girl out of Vietnam, but you can't take Vietnam out of the girl...thank goodness :o)

This morning was Hillary Ashton's first day back to school. {tear, tear, tear} I missed that girl sooooo much. I admit that I tried to convince her to try homeschooling again...no luck! She says it is too much work...haha! I think my baby knew how much I would miss her so she was thoughtful enough to arrange a brief meeting....she left her glasses at home. I keep wondering if it will ever get easier having her in school? I don't know what I am gonna do when the two little girls start school.

The rest of us head back to MDO tomorrow. I haven't used my boxes in awhile since we have been on holiday. I kinda liked getting everything organized again :o) I HEART my boxes :o)

My type-A personality is still in there somewhere...haha!

I am really enjoying reading everyone's blog this year! Some are new reads for me and some are old favorites...that are posting reguarly :o) If you are looking for a good read, here are some good ones{Scroll to the bottom of the post} :o)

Btw, I am back in for 365 this year :o) Blogging has become such a habit!

Yea! So glad you've committed to 365! I'm still on the fence. I'll have to see how it goes. :)

One...the "boxes" are over-the-top! Who is that organized? I want to be you when I grow up! (Difficult since I'm like 15 years older ;-)

Two...quote of the day..."You can take the girl out of Vietnam, but you can't take Vietnam out of the girl!" LOVE it!

Three...you'll have more babies, of course!

I feel the same way about Christmas decorations and cold weather! It's SUPPOSED to be cold for the holidays, then it's time for SPRING, right? Right?

Congrats on your 2010 blogging success! I'm so impressed with your dedication. I do good if I blog 5 times a month.

I love following your story!

I'm so glad you are going to post every day again! I started reading your blog last year (we are adopting from Korea, and I need to read someone's adoption blog to know that the adoption WILL happen), and I absolutely love reading about all of your little ones. Keep up the great work! Thank you!!

@Nursling - How exciting! Are you blogging about your adoption journey?

Amy, no, I'm not blogging. . . not much to blog about at this point in our journey. We have completed all of our paperwork & are in the long process of waiting. . . and waiting. We've been on the list for over a year, and are 13th (last we heard). We're hoping to get our referral sometime this spring, and our baby girl hopefully 6 months (or so) after the referral. Thanks for asking! Was your family open to international adoption?
