Blessings & Jonah Update...

Thank you all so much for your sweet comments...yesterday wasn't the best day, BUT in the midst of the craziness, there was so pretty great moments too!

1. When baby girl had an potty accident, I called a friend who lives about a minute away from the play place to ask about borrowing some pants. When I got there, she had the smallest pair of pants she could find laid out for baby girl...they matched her shirt perfectly. I know it is a little thing, but baby girl would have noticed if her outfit didn't match :o)

2. When I walked into church, my sweet {sweet} friend handed me this cute bag...

and you know what was inside...an eight pack of my VERY FAVORITE candy! I tell ya, those Reese's Peanut Butter Cups couldn't have come at a better time...however, I am wishing I would have saved at least one for today. Ha!

3. The staffing today was at 8:30...pretty crazy time when you have one kid that needs to be at school around 8:15 and three kids that can't be dropped off until 9:00. A super sweet friend happily offered to let me drop off all four kids at her house this morning! Her kids go to the same places my kids go! A definite answered prayer!

4. When I I stepped off of the elevator at the play place yesterday, I saw an awesome friend that I went through foster care training with a couple years ago. We don't live close to each other, but I run into her ever once in awhile. She is always very encouraging and really understands what we are going through with Jonah. It was so crazy to see her the afternoon before the staffing because they just adopted their ADORABLE daughter {former foster daughter} a couple months ago. She was able to give me a lot of insight and advice for today :o)

5. When my sweet baby smashed her little finger in the door last night at church, she had probably at least five doctors/nurses and a paramedic look at her injury...within minutes of getting hurt. Ha! I have always said, that if anything ever happens to me, I hope it is at our church because doctors come out of the woodworks there when needed :o)

6. Remember this picture I posted yesterday...

I took the picture on our way into the play place because all three girls were singing and pumping their arms in the air (like right arm up and then left) and sweet Jonah watched them for a minute and then started doing his arms just like them! It was soooooo sweet! And he is so smart :o)

7. I took the kids for Krispy Kreme before school yesterday. I took a picture of each girl to text to Daddy. They each said, "cheese" when I pointed the phone camera at them. I pointed the phone at Jonah last and {completely on his own} he said, "cheese!" It was precious and he got tickled at himself. It was sweet...and he is so smart {oh wait, I think we already covered that...ha!}.

I also want to thank you {from the bottom of my heart} for the prayers for the staffing this morning. I really felt great peace going into the meeting. I even refrained from doing the big ugly cry that...in fact, there were no tears at all...which is a miracle in itself...ha! I tend to get emotional when it comes to my babies!!

I am sad to say, many of the concerns I had about the situation were confirmed this morning...can't get into details, but luckily it will NOT effect Jonah's case. Sometimes it is just hard facing the ugly realities of this world. Anyways, things went as good as they could go this morning and my sweet baby is sleeping in his room tonight :o) {There was a very good chance that he would have been moved from our home if things didn't go well this morning} Every day with him is a blessing and answered prayer.

I am taking him to see his grandmother in the morning. I really hope they have a good visit.

Today is the beginning of the Vietnamese new year! Chuc Mung Nam Moi! We are celebrating this weekend...Sophie Le has requested red laterns and Vietnamese food for her and daddy and pasta for mama, Hill, JuJu and Jonah :o) Ha! I think we can handle that!
