A Dream Come True...

My oldest child LOVES the idea of performing on stage for an audience. She really, really wants to be a "star on television."

Honestly, I have NO idea where she gets it...but I do know that she has "it." Ha! I admire her so much for her confidence and zest for life. I really do.

Tonight, Hillary Ashton got to play the "lead" role in the First Grade's patriotic musical. It was heaven on Earth for my baby.

{All of the pictures I took with my camera are blurry...what?!?!?! Aggg!}

If you were to ask her what an ideal scenario would be (as far as getting to perform), she would probably tell you that she would love to dance and skip around on stage in front of her school.

That is exactly what she got to do!!!

She played George Washington and there an entire song about George Washington (all her...dancing around the stage while the rest of the first grader sang), another song about George trying to chop down a tree (she literally got to make funny faces and chase a tree around the stage) and one about George Washington and Abraham Lincoln (she got to dance with a "cute" boy for the entire song).

Seriously? Seriously. It was like she got a wish granted by a genie :o)

When we got in the car after the performance, she said, "I wish I could do that again, it was so much fun. I am sad it went by so fast. I am going to play George next year in Second Grade too. I just love being on stage."

Haha! That's my girl :o)

I am so thankful God has blessed us with an amazing teacher who not only teaches my child the basics, but also has taken the time to discover what makes my child tick :o)

Little brother kinda liked big sister's cool hat :o)

My cute chicks :o)

So cute! You should check into the Little Rock Art Center, they have fun little drama classes that she might enjoy.
