Day 119 - Royal Wedding & Trees...

We woke up this morning just in time to see the countdown to the first kiss between the Princess Cate and Prince William. The girls loved watching the clock tick down and then seeing the newly wed couple's first kiss :o) I just LOVED hearing their conversations afterwards. My favorite line (the one I am documenting and will be reminding them of for years to come):

"A true princess doesn't kiss her prince until after they are married."

Haha! After big sister went to school, the little girls and I enjoyed watching the continued coverage :o) My little princesses watching the royal wedding...
They especially liked the balloons attached to the back of the couple's car as they drove away from the palace :o) Haha!

Trees...I used to love, not so much.

I spent this afternoon meeting with several "tree guys." Fun, fun, fun! I noticed that our neighbors were using a large, well known tree service so I stopped by and asked the guy if he could come by and give us an estimate to clean up our trees.

When you hear the professional get on his walkie talkie and say, "Oh man homey, you are going to have to drive over here, I don't know where to start" and "This one's for the books," you know you are in trouble! Ha (I say "Ha," but I wasn't feeling any warm fuzzies feelings on the inside!).

One of the weirdest things about having damage is how many people come by. We have had countless contractors stop by (at all hours) and tons of people park in front of our house and take pictures. I don't mind it, it's just kinda weird. When hubby got home, we finally decided on a tree service. We have taken out a second mortgage (ha!) and scheduled the crew to start working in the morning.

Daddy's car got towed away today which provided more entertainment for the little girls :o) They are loving all of the action!

Our electricity went out again late this afternon for about five hours. I think they must have been working on the lines or something. If I have to see this wind up light one more time in the near future, I might just lose it!

Whine, whine, whine...I promise I know we are lucky considering the circumstances, but it is still frustrating! I am praying by this time next week, things will be much better.

Bring on the chainsaws!!!

At least the chainsaws will provide yet more entertainment for the girls...although not the free kind :( sorry!
