Day 190 - Cuties, Cut & Caching...

I am not crazy about the fact my baby is seven, but it does help that she allows me to dress her in cute, little smocked outfits :o) Haha!

This afternoon, I decided to give Baby Boy a "Charles Barkley" haircut...actually that wasn't the intention at the beginning...ha! It was definitely a learning experience.

Luckily he has a nice shaped head!

I read about geocaching on a blog this morning and I just knew the kids (and mom and dad too) would LOVE it! We waited until early evening to get started, hoping it would cool down a bit...no such luck!

The idea of geocaching is to search for caches (we called them treasure boxes) in your area and then enter the coordinates into your gps. Your gps will get you close, but as we found out this afternoon, there is still some searching to be done!

Sunshine LOVED following our moving dot on the gps as we got closer and closer to our target. She would squeal, "We're getting warmer, now hotter!"

My girl on a mission!

Which way should we go?

I see something!

Whoo hoo!

Most caches contain some sort of prize or trinket.

If you take something, you leave something. If you take nothing, you leave nothing. Since this was our first outing, we didn't have anything to leave, we will have to stock up for our next outing!

Another cool thing about the caches is that there is usually a log where you can record your visit!

We can't wait to go again!!

Oh my goodness--his haircut looks SO CUTE! But I laughed about you saying it was "a learning experience"! :)

Lane got interested in geocaching a while back--the kids think it's fun, too! We bought stuff to make a treasure box last summer, but never actually got around to planting it.
