Kitchen Details & School Fairy...Day 219

So...for some reason only some of the comments left on the blog are getting emailed to me...hmmmm...I checked the setting and everything looks good...any ideas?

Sorry to Ashleigh who asked what books I am currently reading...I just noticed your comment. Right now I am reading these books...
Graced Based Parenting by Dr. Tim Kimmel, The Five Love Languages of Children by Gary Chapman & Ross Campbell and Bringing up Girls by Dr. James Dobson. So far, I really like each of the books (I checked out the first two from my public library and the last one from our church's library). I will probably blog more about them when I finish :o)

I blogged about the chairs I recovered a couple days ago and I promised to share a picture of the rug I found on sale at Target so here it is...
Before you say anything...I took the price tag off today right before I took the only nice comments...haha! I do really like the rug, I am just a bit unsure about the size (I really wanted to size smaller, but they were sold out) and the color (it is a bit light...for right beside the dishwasher...ha!).

BUT, I think it goes well with the chairs...
IMG_1854 it too matchy, matchy? Nevermind, I already removed the price tag...ha!

These owl pictures hang on the opposite wall from the rug...

And since I was taking pictures in the kitchen, I decided to snap a pic of my favorite thing in the whole kitchen...
Sweet pictures of my babies from last year...I {heart} photo calendars!

This is our last week of summer vacation!! We will miss playing outside in the early morning hours in our pjs!

I also decided I better help the girls brush up on a few skills before school starts...
This girl will do anything for candy...haha!

I also took advantage of being at home all day (whoo hoo!) to organize and print out some (TONS!!!!) projects I want to do this year...
I am really excited about some of the back to school ideas!!!

One idea I know the girls are going to LOVE (LOVE, LOVE, LOVE) is the "Back to School Fairy." Anyone ever done that?

I am inlove with the owl pictures! Where did you get those from??? I have the same rug but in another color in my kitchen. Instead of a white background mine is a deep red color. I love it!
