I Need An Honest Opinion...

Do you think the girls are getting too big to share a swing?

What's Your Name?

We attended an open house a few days before school started. I met the girls' teachers and dropped off their school supplies. Sunshine thought it was so funny that her teacher had her name as 'middle name, last name' on her desk and folder (she goes by her first and middle name). Anyways we talked to her teacher and explained she goes by her first and middle name (I have no idea why her middle name was on her desk, etc.)

So the first day of school rolls around and I pick her up from school and she can't wait to tell me how her teacher called her 'middle name, first name' I said, "Why didn't you tell her she was calling you the wrong name? Were you nervous to correct her?" She said, "No, it was just way too funny and I wanted to wait and see if she figured it out."

After convincing her that there was really no way her teacher would "figure it out." She agreed to tell her the next day. She said, "Well, my second day sure won't be as funny as my first day."

New School Year!

Hi! We are still here. I have received the sweetest comments over the last few months of my blog hiatus. THANK YOU! I don't have a good reason for the lull in posting. We had a super busy summer and I am still trying to keep up with my new year's resolution and I guess I just kinda got out of the habit of posting, but I'm back :o)

I couldn't pass up posting about the new school year! Can you believe summer is already over?

As you know, I have a REALLY hard time with my kids growing up. I am happy for them when they celebrate the milestones of life and I try to be happy they are becoming more independent, but I feel like it is happening SO fast. I make it a point to do my best to soak it all in, but I feel like it is happening WAY too fast.

I am still trying to wrap my mind around the fact my baby is old enough for school...and she is in THIRD grade this year! Eeek!

And if the reality of third grade wasn't crazy enough, my other baby (who I never thought would be able to be away from mama all day) started kindergarten!

I'm not gonna lie, as much as I wanted to keep them home with me, it did help that their new school doesn't require uniforms :o) Ha! I like navy, khaki and white okay, but Blah!

AND don't forget the smallest princess! She started preschool! Whew! Talk about an emotional week!

You know I have much more to say about their new schools and their first days, but that will have to wait :o)
