Fun Little Trip to Northwest Arkansas...

There is nothing we love more than a trip to the beach or DisneyWorld, but sometimes staying close to home can be just as fun :o)

Case in point...NorthWest Arkansas :o)  A mere three hour drive...huge bonus points for proximity when traveling with four small kiddos!

We told the kids that we were going out of town for a mini vacation and told them to each choose a baby to take with them in the car.  I think they grab as many babies as you can carry! Ha! My kids do not like to travel light!

The Razorbacks were playing their first home game the weekend we were in town. We didn't have tickets, but we thought it would be fun to go to the campus to walk around and let the kid feel the excitement in the air :o)

They loved seeing the huge stadium...

We even got to watch a little bit of the first quarter from these great {FREE} seats...until the kids got bored and wanted to leave. It's much easier leaving a game you didn't buy tickets for than a game you bought six tickets for! Another SUPER fun place we visited is Crystal Bridges. If you are ever in NWA, you HAVE to go! It is soooooo fun! "Crystal Bridges has a permanent collection that spans five centuries of American masterworks! There were many famous works of art such as Rosie the Riveter by Norman Rockwell and Andy Warhol's Dolly Parton, several pieces by Georgia O'Keeffe and much more! There are also tons of very beautifully landscaped trails to enjoy, a children's museum and an arts and craft area! And the awesome thing is that Wal-Mart built the facility and admission is FREE! Whoo hoo! The kids LOVED all the sculptures!

This budding artist was in heaven!

The little girls loved playing in the dress up area! IMG_5633

I LOVE my little bookworm!

There is a really cool area in the kid's center called "listen." The kids put on headphones and listen to specific instructions about a famous piece of art.

As they listen, they draw what they hear. At the end, the can compare their masterpiece to the famous one the narrator described.

This room was hands down the kids favorite! They LOVE, LOVE, LOVE arts and crafts :o)

I am pretty sure they could have spent all day creating!

Look at that sweet baby!

Peg people!

Baby Boy LOVES to line things up!

Their peg family :o)

Mommy, Daddy and Sunshine :o)

After craft time, we headed to outside to check out the trails.

Such a cool place! We can't wait to go back!

Next up...Bentonville Square!
